PRAYER / Lenten Reflection 2005

Wednesday, March 16, 2005

Three young men remain in God’s word and are untouched in the fiery furnace. Jesus asks us to remain, make our home in, his word. Then we will be disciples, that is learners (discipulus/a) just as he learns from God, and in John’s prologue is called the disciple of God. Jesus continues, "Then we will know the truth and the truth will set us free."

How have you become more at home in God’s word this Lent? What have you been learning? Where is your freedom deepening and what more do you want?

"For freedom Christ has set you free; let no one or nothing make you a slave again." (Galatians 5:1) Make us lifelong learners of you, Christ Jesus.
